Torbay Seagull Rescue consists of a few dedicated volunteers focusing on the well-being of seagulls in our region. This typically involves rescuing vulnerable baby seagulls that have fallen from a rooftop nest and cannot fend for themselves and injured seagulls who are unable to fly and are clearly in need of attention. Our mission is to remove the birds from dangerous situations, to provide them with a safe environment where they can grow and recuperate and to then release them.
We are a not-for-profit organisation relying on self-funding and donations from the public to help cover the cost of food, bedding, rescue equipment, holding pens, transportation and vet bills.

As a volunteer-based organisation, we rely on the support of you, the community to carry out our mission. If you're passionate about seagulls and want to make a difference then you can help us by reporting, securing and even transporting vulnerable and injured seagulls to us. We are a very small team so any assistance would be greatly appreciated, especially during the busy nesting season. In the 3 month period of June to August 2024 we attended more than 350 call-outs. This number will only increase as the awareness of our rescue grows so any and all support is gratefully received.
Furthermore, the cost of providing for the ever increasing number of rescued seagulls is rising significantly so all donations - however small - will be very welcome. Rest assured that every penny is reinvested to provide the seagulls with the essentials to survive and flourish.
